Credit Rating


The academic regulations of the UDL on masters degrees and provides:

In the event that the student wants to apply for credit recognition , such intention has to be mentioned in the relevant section of the registration request. Besides, the student must submit the following documents:
The curriculum materials or box issued or published by the relevant centre.
Documents evidencing acquired skills , training content made or approved program courses.

Applications for recognition of credits within the teachings of the Master shall be resolved by the body responsible for POP PDE on a proposal from the Master's Commission of Studies.
Recognized credits will have to enroll in the registration period set for the Master, and the student will have to pay the amount established by the Decree of the Generalitat de Catalunya fixing prices of academic services at public universities in Catalonia (Decree 77/2012_Precio academic year for 2012-2013) services.

 

Criteria for credit recognition

1. In accordance with the provisions of the Fourth Additional Real Decree 1393/2007 Disposition , people in possession of a Bachelor's degree , Architects and Engineers may obtain credit recognition in the teachings of Master, taking into account any correlation between the skills and knowledge derived from previous studies and the curriculum of this Master asked .

2. The maximum number of credits that can be recognized in a Master which has a total of 60 Credits, to persons holding a Bachelor's degree, Architects or Engineers, is 30 credits. If the person also holds the title of Doctor , the maximum is 45 credits. 

The Master’s thesis cannot be subject of credit recognition.

 

Professional experience

A maximum of 9 ECTS credits may be recognized to students who prove:

  • Having practiced as a lawyer or a solicitor for at least 3 years. The subjects eligible for recognition will be those within the compulsory module and optional module of the Master curriculum for which the student certifies skills acquired throughout his/her professional experience.
  • Having worked in the field of public service for at least 3 years. The subjects eligible for recognition will be those within compulsory and optional module for which the student certifies skills acquired throughout his/her professional experience.


Recognition of the mentioned credits does not incorporate rating/marks, therefore they will not be considered when making the scale of the academic records.
